Ilda

Ilda Maria is a 54 year old widow of 10 years.  She has brought up eight children, seven of whom are now married.

Her first canteen she gave to her daughter to help her pay her way through university.

With the 20,000 meticals ($700.00) she borrowed she has set up another canteen business (as pictured above) and has it well stocked, which gives her much pride.

She has one employee at the new canteen whom she pays 1,900 meticals ($60.00) a month.
