Francisco Romao Morais is a 43 year old carpenter supporting a wife and seven children, five of whom are at school.

He has been a carpenter for 12 years.  He employs one person to help him whom he pays 1,000 metical ($35.00) per month.

He uses all hand tools as he has no electricity.  He works from home. 

His primary product is chairs, which sell for around 800 meticals ($27.00) and he can produce 10 chairs a month.

However sales are largely seasonal with customers using their Christmas bonus money to buy the chairs which he takes to market.

He would be interested in providing an opportunity for an apprentice.
