Objective

Mozambique is one of the poorest countries in the world. Awaken Mozambique provides an opportunity to help the people of Mozambique help themselves, help improve their lives.  Access to micro-financing and training will aid the people of Mozambique to develop local solutions to their local problems and improve their lives by using their entrepreneurial drive.

Awaken Mozambique primarily focuses on training and equipping local people to improve their communities with sustainable development and capacity building.

It is anticipated that at least 400 businesses will be funded in the first 3-4 years. About 70% of entrepreneurs will be women and their businesses will be the means of survival for their families. QUT Brisbane Graduate School of Business is supporting this project with ongoing research.
